Obedience
Each student is expected to train a dog in basic obedience. While training your own dog, you will be taught basic obedience skills, dog psychology, and how to teach private obedience classes. Students will be required to demonstrate basic dog training skills with a dog that has not had any prior obedience training. A written exam is also required to complete this portion of the course.

Behavior Problems
Knowing how to solve various types of behavior problems is a must for dog trainers. We will cover many types of behavior problems so you are able to answer question concerning behavior issues your customer may have. You will also learn behavior modification techniques.

Puppy Training and Socialization
In this area of the program students will be introduced to puppy selection, imprinting and socialization.  We
will also cover important areas such as potty training, crate training, socialization and puppy training techniques.

Boarding and Kennel Management
This portion of the program will also teach you how to start a small boarding program from your home. Students will be taught proper feeding techniques, sanitizing and maintaining clean kennels, recognizing parasites, and more.

Health & First Aid
We will cover all aspects of dog health care including vaccinations and being able to recognize health issues. A class on canine health and first aid is taught by our veterinarian. The Doctor will be available to answer any questions you have.

Business and Marketing
You will learn various methods of how to start your own business, selling your product, advertising, marketing and customer relations.

Please be prepared to work and study this is an intense 5-day program. Our host Hotel will accept your dog in the room at no extra charge.
